The film conceals as much as it reveals, and its beauty is that it pretends to do nothing else. It embraces a mystery and protects it, and it’s thrilling to behold.. Narrative has never been Anderson's strength; the story here is a corny overhaul of James Cameron's already-corny Titanic.. Hayek swings for the fences, but none of the gags she's tasked with delivering are funny, not even when she desperately pantomimes various breathless expressions men make when they orgasm..
